Tim Walker's exhibit at London's Design Museum is incredible. Every single shot is opulent as hell.
Reminds me of Baz Luhrmann (Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, Australia, operas). Very Red Curtain Trilogy.
Prints for sale!!
Images that feel like they're lit from within.
Reminds me of How To Travel with a Salmon. Really enjoyed that book.

So pretty:
"Imaginary, fantastic, bizarre" is exactly it.

I've seen his work before! All of his photos have such character.
He did this piece in Elle, I think, which chronicled a disinherited heiress (oxymoron?) slowly losing her money and mind, though wearing opulent and very lavish gowns the whole way. My favorite line from the editorial was "she may have not been able to pay her electric bill, but the moonlight works so well to illuminate her Lanvin gown."
AHHHHHHHHHH the Princess and the Pea photo is my faaavorite Tim Walker.
Disco Ball <3
What a witty line.
I like the Princess and the Pea photo as well. I have only just realized how sexual that fairy tale is.
